History: Vernon Center has a rich pioneer history.   We have created some special features and  would like to hear from local residents who can answer some of the "unanswered" questions about our towns history. 
bulletMemories: This section is dedicated to Florence Brown.  Florence was Vernon Center's "unofficial" historian and possessed a rich pictorial history of our town. Some of those have been reproduced here.  If anyone has pictures of Florence from high school, during her teaching years or other times of her life, we would like to add them.

November, 1940: A re-creation of the front page of the Vernon Center News dated November 14, 1940.  The lead story: The Great Armistice Day Snow Storm.  Find out how it affected Vernon Center.  Other articles that appeared in that edition are also re-created.

Honor Roll:  After WWII an "Honor Roll" board was created in Vernon Center honoring those who had served.  As sometimes happens, a few folks were inadvertently omitted.  This page is to recognized the ones who were missed and add more as we find them.

Wheeler History:  I recently had a nice visit with Glen and Pat Wheeler.  Glen was around when a lot of the history we talk about here, happened.  He filled some gaps and corrected some errors in this section.
