The WW II Honor Roll sign stood on the west side of Highway 169 between the old hotel (current location of the Wilde Syde) and where the Vernon Center Auto Company once stood.

Unfortunately, when the original Honor Roll was put together, a few names were inadvertently left off.  We've been able to identify a few of those that were missing, and are remembering them here.   This is just a start.  Additional names will be added when I get them from City Hall.  If you know of others who were missed....or I've misspelled anyone's name, please let me know:

Glen Wheeler

Warren Bremmer

Robert Stratton
(Mr. Stratton was killed in Europe on D-Day.  The old Vernon Center VFW post....Robert Stratton VFW Post 8866....was named after him.  He lived just east of town)

The list of names from the original Honor Roll appears in the new "History of Vernon Center" by Wayne Krosch and can be obtained at City Hall for $5
