4th of July 2006 Events
Some photos of events on the 4th of July!
The Toilet Bowl Races! I think the idea here was that the "pusher" had to keep on foot on the platform and could push off on the ground with the other. The "navigator's" job was to sit on the pot and steer with a long handled plunger, over which was draped a role of toilet paper, that got in the way and all over the place! Not sure who won this event, but it was fun for all ages!
Intense competition between the team of Brad Schwartz (Mayor of Amboy) and Bob Peterson and Calvin Baarts and his Pot Mate! Looks like Calvin is going to win this one.....again!
But no.....maybe not....here comes Swartz and Peterson catching up!
Uh....Oh! Just as they were about to cross the finish line, the Scwartz/Peterson Pot imploded, flew off the platform and gobbled up Bob! Brad is seen searching for him in this photo.
Tractors and Cars! Some of my favorite entries at the Tractor and Car show! I'm a big Alis Chalmers fan. I use to cultivate beans and corn with one of these when I was a kid on the farm

The old Ford! These were fun little gadgets just to drive around on.
A Canadian Tractor that I had never seen before: The Cockshutt 540
There were a ton of cars at the show, but this is my favorite. This is one nice old vehicle!
