This year Vernon Center celebrates it's Sesquicentennial!  The event was  part of our annual 4th of July Celebration.  Follow the links below to see photos from the parade, toilet races and other events!

 

Pony Express:  The City of Blue Earth is also celebrating its sesquicentennial this summer!   On Saturday, July 8, the Blue Earth Pony Express made a stop in Vernon Center at 1:00 p.m.  The rider picked up mail from City and postal officials and a commemoration letter to deliver to the Mayor of Blue Earth!  See the photos from this historic event.  Follow the Pony Express link below to see some of the photos.

New Book!  History of Vernon Center

Beautiful Hanging Floral Baskets adorn the streets around Vernon Center.  Each basket was sponsored by a business or individual in the community
